I don't know what you look forward to when you get home after a long day at work but for me having a comfy bed to sleep in is always a great way to kick back. The silk bedding from Gingerlily is truly pampering and luxurious. Their all season weight duvet is great no matter the weather you are in at the moment - for us it's not too hot at night in Singapore, thankfully. Plus, ladies, sleeping on silk bedding is great for your hair! There's no friction so it means smoother looking hair... Always a plus...

Inspired by both nature and the urban landscape of beautiful Melbourne, the ladies behind Ink & Spindle hand print gorgeous designs on ethically sourced textiles, in all our favorite shades of colors. The timeless patterns come in all forms of homewares, though Ink & Spindle mainly focuses on the creation of the fabric, they work with other creatives to come up with all kinds of products you can deck your home in.
Using different screen printing techniques, they have come up with quite a range of designs to choose from, whether you want to shop their custom textiles or ready-mades.
Here's some of our favorites, you can also browse their beautiful inspiration page..
Have you seen the range from the new homewares online store, Arro Home? Well, if you haven't we're glad you found your way here because it is really something not to be missed. You might have seen some of the photos being repinned on pinterest, like how Little Big Bell found it. Thank you Geraldine for the beautiful post.
Another amazing brand to come out of Australia. (I personally haven't been there but after the things I've seen coming out of there, I can't wait to visit!)
There are so many more pretty visuals in their collection, it's just unbelieveable! Another unbelievable (well, you can't blame us) fact is that we want everything. It's really hard to pick favorites, especially after seeing these beautiful images, you can already imagine how perfectly they would look together in your home.
It's the simplest of things that we find beauty in. Attention to detail in craft or design is usually what stands out for us even in the most basic of items. While we have had these lovely pieces from Shop Frank in the Bloesem space for awhile, it finally came the time to photograph their beauty and share them with the rest of you.
We love how every item is so well crafted and just fits right in with the rest of the items we have in the space. One thing I remember so vividly from my time at school was my lecturer always repeating " form has to follow function". He would repeat that over and over and though at the time it sounded unnecesary to keep harping on that, it truly makes sense. When you get rid of all the extra details and go back to the basics, you get the true essence and beauty. It all sounds like airy fairy talk, but trust us when we say the beauty is in the details.

Shop Frank curates pieces from designers who they admire, both for their works and the way they work. The Bloesem Team too has found some treasures that we have grown very fond of from the collection (cough, Hasami teapot, cough).
Pyotocan large ; Pyotocan small ; Oak tray ; Walnut serving board
Other items photographed above: Bulb beaker , Brown vintage apothecary jar, Tas-ka tea towel, Bookhou linen clutch (all available at Bloesem.co)

We suggest you Shop Frank..
Happy Wednesday all! It has been sweltering heat over here in Singapore, but that also means great light for photography, so the Bloesem Team hopped on the sunshine train and went a little trigger happy with our felt ball rug as the star of the shoot. The versatile pieces can be deemed as Bloesem's magic carpet, having been in the creative space, Irene's home as well as the new Bloesem class, where these photos were taken.
Hand made by Nepalese ladies, all felt ball rugs are high quality (biodegrable so it's safe for children and pets) and super well done, we can attest to that having had it around for quite awhile now. The felt balls are also sturdy but so soft under your bare feet.
The image in the top picture is by Dutch photographer Karin Nussbaumer. We are big fans of her work and are honored to be to showcase her art photography in our studio and shop.
Looking past the sheer beauty and comfort of the felt ball rug, we appreciate the work and craftsmenship that goes into the construction of each piece. Felt Ball Rug makes sure that child labour is strictly prohibited and they act as a support system to help married Nepalese woman find their footing. We feel content that purchasing such a gorgeous piece has multi-fold benefits.
If you want to customize your own designs or prefer a pop of color, or even a circular rug, you will be happy to know they come in all shapes and colors. The perfect piece for a child's room too!
P.s if the rug looks familiar, you might have seen it in our shoot for Eden and Zoe..
