Inspired by the dumping of plastic trash into the waters of Rotterdam, designer and artist Foekje Fleur came up with The Bottle Vase Series. The vases have forms inspired by the common plastic bottles we see around the house but are in fact made from porcelain, with a glazed inner surface to ensure that the vases are waterproof.
With it's fun colours and shapes, the collection holds a deeper meaning all while beautifying our home. Such a great message!

Last year in September, Remodelista announced their first book by Julie Carlson and we couldn't be more excited to take a look inside. We have been long time followers of the site and knew that they wouldn't disappoint, and they didnt! Even though the book has abit of a dated design for the front cover, it is FULL of interior inspiration, design ideas and even simple DIYs to improve your home. The book features all different styles of interiors so it would cover all kinds of homes and spaces. We already have our eyes set on some DIY projects to possibly conquer over the weekend.

Recently we were approached by the wonderful Italian sisters, who founded Gwelly's, with a some what interesting and different request. But it's a new year and we should be trying out something different too! (Futhermore we love the piece they are giving away too!)
