It's not a surprise that we are all in love with stationery and going to the art store is just one of the best things yet. Rows and rows of craft supplies, paper and much more... heaven. RMM has everything that is anything under the broad category of stationery. From art books, to pencils, to calendars, even travel maps, and these paper lamps too which tecnically are homewares which they carry too! See they have everything. My favorite has got to be their annual calendars.. 2013's Owlendar is pure genius.. and 2014's calendar comes in the shape of a whale.. can't wait to see what they have in store for 2015 which is coming up really soon! The RMM collection is definitely worth checking out.

Some beautiful interiors we've been spotting on pinterest and we definitely had to include that indigo couch along with the pillows! What a great idea to indigo dye your pillow cases, we will definitely try that during Shibori Bloesem class with Arounna this week.

Class Alert: Knots & Ropes - Macrame class with Natalie Miller
Believe it or “knot”, macramé – the art of decorative knotting – is making a comeback… from being 1970s accessories such as the owl wall hanging and out-dated tacky craft to now fashionable macrame jewelry, clothing, plant holders, or even wall hangings sizzling with vibrant colours and innovativeness. Embrace this macramé revival and learn from Natalie Miller the art of knotting cord into intricate patterns. With some twine and chic knots, she will teach you to make your very ownwall-hanging-style pot hanger to give your homes a fresh modern look with a natural touch.
Natalie Miller is a fibre artists, maker and weaver living in the beautiful Southern Highlands an environment of constant inspiration. A registered architect and interior designer for the past 20 years, Natalie finds creating and craft very meditative and loves to explore the different techniques of textiles. She studied tapestry weaving at Sturt Art and Craft Centre, Mittagong in 2013 and ever since have been creating the most beautiful tapestry weavings and macramé pieces in her vibrant and eclectic studio. Natalie is also a mom to two big boys and a little girl and lives with her husband in a beautiful scenic countryside town of Kangaloon.
Learn from Natalie basic macramé knots and techniques to make a variety of styles, designs and patterns that will definitely challenge theold-fogyish accents of the 1970s. With these ‘knotty’ skills at your fingertips, you can explore new elaborate textile creations such as lightshades, chairs, rugs, pillow cases and the possibilities are just endless! It’s gonna be an addictive skill, once hooked you will be tying knots in everything!

Sally England
3.5 fun hours of learning to be a dextrous knotter! Natalie will teach you several knotting techniques and how to web your very own wall-hanging-style pot hanger. You will also learn the ropes for making future macramé projects on a grander scale. Of course, all the materials needed to make your pot hanger will be provided (including a glass pot), plus an extra goodie bag to continue your macramé madness at home. Accompanied with delicious food and drinks, it will be “knotty” time creating and engaging with like-minded crafters like yourself! So will you be signing up for this class or "knot"?

Coming from a background of industrial design, I am always a sucker for ingenious designs like this! Perfect for someone on the go or to create "mobile workspaces", the Floyd leg allows you to create a working space out of any flat surface. Doesn't matter if it's a piece of wood or a door or just a plank, just slap on some of these bad boys and you got yourself a place to work on or display items.
We love using trestles in the Bloesem space or classroom because it gives us the freedom to move the tables around easily or create different configurations, so these legs are also a great alternative to trestles. They even come in a carrier so you can carry the legs with you and set up a table wherever. Makes moving so much easier! Have a look over on their site to see how these legs can be used to make all kinds of tables, so smart! - Zara S.
