DIY: Belt + Board by Anamu

I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Ana Maria yesterday. Ana Maria is a fellow blogger and she recently moved to Kuala Lumpur. Wonderful news of course I can use some creative minds here in KL :)

Ana Maria is a photographer and she used to make these beautiful handmade clutches. And she also is a regular contributor for Poppytalk bringing very nice DIY projects like the one in the images above and below. 

For this project Ana Maria bought some circle cork pads at IKEA ans used one of her own thin belts. All you need now is some trusty glue... more instructions here at poppytalk.

Let me start this morning with the Loft Evo chair by Zbigniew Strzebonski.

And yes this is a chair that would fit in my interior ... not sure what I like best about it the color or the geometric shape or the way it has been photographed ...

Muuto bulbs in our home

Perhaps you have read somewhere that during the last couple of weeks my family and I were staying in our Amsterdam apartment to do some re-decoration and prepare the place for new tenants. Perhaps not difficult to understand that I had a lot of fun doing this :) for the bedroom I needed some new lights and I choose three E27 bulb lamps by Muuto ... I like the simple look, believe 'bulbs' are trending and most importantly I like how the cords bring a lillte extra to the white wall in the back. The quilt was a nice bargain over at Zara home sale in Amsterdam. Beautiful colors and it matches perfectly with the green off the wood and our build-in cabinets.

Monday's quick start: embroidered potholders

While I am preparing a new post about my trip to NY last week I thought you probably be happy with seeing these beautiful embroidered potholders by Karen Barbé... I have been away from my desktop for almost 8 weeks and it is good to be back and find my 'top sites' in safari ... Karen's blog definitely is one of them. 

The potholders are hand-embroidered with wool and backed with organic cotton. and I agree with Karen ... your kitchen would be so happy with one of these!

Just some rooms for you to enjoy today... Winnie Sarah Dang who ives in SIngapore collected these and many more on het pinterest board right here. I LOve the first living room with the yellow and that bed is so inviting ... shows again how important beautiful bedding is for a bedroom.
