An apartment in Amsterdam

The photography style of Anne Dokter really appeals to me and her series of an apartment in Amsterdam shows you exactly why. Of course it does help when a place like this is so inspirational and has a color palette that is almost unreal ...

Which color pallete from all these images is your favorite? I am in love with the warm orange-reds in the sixth picture below. But the blue combined with golden brown is perfect too.

A previous series I shared here on Bloesem from Anne is her visit to the house of the artist behind Japanese label minä perhonen.

Flowers are the Trend

We all know 'Flowers' are the trend!

Slowly we are moving away from the geometric patterns and moving forward to more romantic shapes and forms. Although I LOVE everything geometric I do feel the triangles and harlequin patterns may stop ...  So I fully embrace all things flowers ... and especially if it's done so interesting and inspiring as these kaleidoscope idea by stylist Amanda Rodriguez from Australia and photographer Eric Hagman.

I discovered Amanda her work over at Est Magazine (image above by Elin Stromberg) where my eyes where drawn to the 'Hello Yellow' series.

Flower images by Eric Hagman.

Small things in our new home

Moving to a new home is one thing but decorating the new place is another ... not easy to find a good place for all my little treasures...

Before this vintage white serving trolley was standing in our bathroom, but here in the new apartment I thought it rather looks nice in our living room. I  decided to place some books, my moms copper vase and our Ericofon. Would be great if we could really use it again, does anyone know if this is possible...?
