Mother's day Gift Tags from Bloesem for you

ILOVEmyMOM_white_tags

My sons came home today from school with self-made presents for Sunday ... Mothers Day that is ... the excitement on their faces and happiness to surprise me made me feel very special as a mom.

But I am still a 'daughter' too and feel very lucky to have my mom with me here in Singapore at the moment ... so in honor of my mom and my love for her I made these tags for her presents... something self-made too :)

If you haven't had time yet to make something and want to use these tags too, please feel absolutely free by downloading the template  .... and print the files.

Wish you a very lovely weekend and hope to see you back on Monday. ~irene xoxo

Zodiac cards by Annemoon van Steen

b>tags | ..stationery
Annemoonvansteen

Receiving a handwritten letter per mail is simply the best. I so enjoy it when people take the time to actually sit down and write you a personal note. It does help that Annemoon her handwriting is very beautiful I must admit :)

Annemoon van Steen is a Dutch illustrator and graphic designer who recently created a set of very original zodiac cards. Based on her lucky charm dolls

The zodiac cards are currently only available in Dutch but I'm hoping Annemoon will consider making them in English too. If you would like to order them you can send Annemoon an email.

While writing about the new poster range from Jessica Nielsen for psikhouvanjou on BloesemKids I thought why not end this week with a tribute to my favorite graphic designer from the Netherlands Jessica Nielsen.

Just see above a collage of recent work by this lady!

~ Enjoy your weekend. Monday I will be back with a lot of news! ~irene xoxo

ps. I will be spending the rest of my day teaching about being a 'BlogBoss' for decor8's e-course Blogging Your Way. Exciting! Can't wait to meet you who signed up for this course.

Calendar round-up 2013

2013{tea towel calendar from foglinen, image by Bloesem}

Hello everyone! Every new year I feel brings a fresh start. Why is that? I want to have new stationary, new clothes and a new set of mind to do things better than 2012. Let's start with new calendars. Believe me, you need the perfect one to look at everyday for a year. These are some of our favorites here at Bloesem. A clean simple one for my wall with lots of space for me to doodle on would be my choice. After the year ends, you can look back at all the things you've done for the year.

Moustache

The many different ways to illustrate a moustache by Blush Face. I find this simple and funny and would definitely make a great gift for the moustache in the family.

Kalenteri

Kissanpäivät's simple illustrated 2013 calendar. What I love about this one are the colors. Blue, teal and turquoise have always been my favorites.

On to the next page for more of Bloesem's pick for 2013

NEW: Unstationary by ontwerpduo

Unstationery
{image by Jurianne Matter}

Papers, soft colors and simple designs, what's not to love everything about Unstationary by Ontwerpduo. Starting our own stationary line has always been in the works here at Bloesem, and seeing great products like these makes us want to work on our line even more.

The first thing that comes to mind when I see grid paper is math class in high school. Countless doodles and drawings on them when I should be writing down numbers and equations. What about you? A familiar feeling and I love the simplicity of the grid design for note pads and little cards for little messages.

Check out their collection of work on their website. Take a look at the 'Light Forest' which to me is almost dream-like.   [CONTINUE READING]
