Creative People Projects in Singapore

You know how much I love sites like Coffeeklatch , wheretheycreate and freundevonfreunden so I am delighted to see we have our own Singapore version. 

The Creative People Projects is the eye-candy site from Rebecca Toh, who takes us to studios, ateliers and offices from creative people here in SG and Taiwan.

Rebecca Toh got the idea for this Portrait Project came about when she realized how far away she was from the people she admires. Then she remembered that she has a camera... "and that with a camera one always has the perfect excuse to get closer, to walk into lives, to achieve a form of intimacy that is usually unattainable. I hope this photo project will eventually be a record of some of these moments spent with these wonderful, super-talented people."

Creative People Projects only shows us how much creativity there is on this side of the planet ... and that so much more can be expected in the future...

I'm happy to be so close to these people and can't wait to meet some of them in person too.

Just some eye-candy for you today  ... for me it is pure inspiration and that it is just what I am looking for this week ... my plans are creating small settings for some photography. What are your plans for the week?

The seres is called 'Table manners' and was produced for Elle Decoration NL  January issue.

Beetles, bugs and butterflies on your wall

Do you remember me writing about Louise Roe  ... well the same agency who represents them also introduced me to Hagedornhagen. A company from Denmark founded by Mads Hagedorn-Olsen and Anders Morell Hagen, both renowned photographers who have many awards to their credit. 

Insects always made me shiver ... guess living in Asia makes you more aware of these fellow planet members... but to be honest the highly detailed photographs by Hagedornhagen make me apreciate their beauty a whole lot better. 

Result:  I like the new Insect trend!

Coffeeklatch a creative chitchat

Not sure where I was ... probably living under a rock :) but glad I found Coffeeklatch from Belgium today ... wow such a beautiful source of inspiration and eye-candy . Of course the site reminds me of the German FvF but we can never get enough of these kind of sites that gives you an intimate insight in the lives of creative people. 

Coffeeklatch is a creative chitchat started by journalist Magali Elali and photographer Bart Kiggen. Coffeeklatch stands for ‘slow journalism using a fast medium’. Just sit back, relax, have a cup of coffee and enjoy.              [MORE IMAGES after the break]

Monday's quick start: Heidi Lerkenfeldt

Hello, I hope you have had a lovely weekend? What did you do? I started preparing for a photo shoot for next week. A company here in KL asked if I could do the styling for their new online shop and collection ... great of course.

While looking for some inspiration online I found the beautiful portfolio by Danish photographer Heidi Lerkenfeldt (via Ellen's album). ALthough she is not the stylist her images give me lots of ideas how I would like to see the shoot done too next week. If you know who the stylist is or are let me know! ~irene
