I couldn't agree more with Brittni from Papernstitch about loving the designs from 'I Love Grey Skies'...so I'm sincerely considering the button wall art pieces for our new house...

I don't know why but I really like the handmade buckets or baskets that pop up more frequently in blogland lately ... I already have a couple at home from Bookhou and use them for all sorts of things, our keys, baby stuff, pencills and even some kitchen items ... these great Burlap ones made by Mayamade and available over at ThreePotatoFour are also on my wishlist!
And how cute are these from DownHomeAmy, very handy for little snacks or as decorating material for a party or a romantic picnic! They are avalialbel in Amy's etsy shop.
And these are the ones from Bookhou that are already living in our house, actually the flower basket is sitting right next to me as we speak....
I hope you don't mind me leaving you early this week with a post about the Pattern Bakery so I can enjoy a long weekend with my newborn son, Kiet and my other son Lode ... Pattern Bakery is a collective of Finnish textile and fashion designers who yearn to illustrate home and life in general ... although their website is still under construction, their blog and etsy shop give you a very good impression of the beautiful things they create and design.
A very generous Pillow Sale is going on over at Lama, you know the Latin inspired webshop founded by the always friendly Christine. The sale ends March 20, so you better run!
...and if we were to move house I would definitely consider buying one of these limited edition handmade designed wallpaper rolls created by Barcelona's Alan The Gallant Studio for Pattern Tales. Alan The Gallant is a design bureau based in the heart of one of my favorite European cities, Barcelona...
Topo Azul is the name of this pattern and is an organic approach to the art of painted wallpaper ... the pattern was inspired from the concept of freedom of lines ... beautiful!! Available right here ...
Welcome to Bloesem's new sponsor jaturon! A new design studio creating hand printed fabric bags, table-runners and paper goods and some lovely special Valentine’s Day items like the flower pouches ... but at jaturon's webshop you can also find other labels from small design companies, like the pillow from Jenna Rose .. and this is only the beginning jaturon is planning to carry many more items from their own label and guest-labels.
I LOVE these furnishing fabrics by Eley Kishimoto .... available at one of these addresses ...
When Andy got a job offer in Amsterdam Katrina and he moved and are living there ever since ... for former graphic designer this was the perfect timing to make her dream come true and start her own business making pillows, bags, babyclothes, soft toys and more from vintage fabrics ...
Soon Katrina's business started growing and she asked Andy to join her fulltime, so he gave up his day-time job and now she and him run their full time Etsy business, katrinakaye ...
Katrina also sells her terrific handmade goodies at some of the best markets in Amsterdam, like the Noordermarkt ... right now a big SALE on all the army bags is going on in their online shop ... so please have a look right here and here you can read a great interview with Trina and Andy
Hello and welcome back ... I hope you had a nice weekend just like me. Last week when I was visiting Kiki&Polly's blog I discovered this great etsy shop, called FilzFelt and I saw Jan mentioning them too ... I totally understand why FilzFelt gets this attention, their thick layers of felt are simply gorgeous and usable in so many ways. I also have felt coasters at home and I never get bores when seeing them laying on the table.
{wallpaper Peony by Jocelyn Warner}
This image really appealed to me when I first saw it, because the pattern is very suttle, but yet very strong ... I'm not a huge fan of bold patterns on any of our walls, I do like it however at other peoples houses ... I guess it's a bit too daring for me, but a pattern like this could look really nice as a background for a dining area or entrance ... The wallpaper is designed by Jocelyn Warner from London ... Jocelyn has a whole range of beautiful wallpapers, lights and rugs, which she sells under her own label.
This wallpaper is called 'Kew' and you can obviously see that Jocelyn is inspired by nature. She loves to transform images from nature into simple forms. In one of her interviews I read that Jocelyn has always had an interest in the design world especially with
repeated structures and patterns. Growing up in a 1960's house designed
by her architect farther and filled with fabrics and furniture by John
Piper, Lucienne and Robin Day inspired her appetite for textiles.
During 100% Design 2008 (September 18-21) in London you can find Jocelyn Warner presenting new wallpapers and their gorgeous our new rug Orchid.
