David Finato

Piajane
Last week i saw these beautiful images on Pia Jane Bijkerk's great blog...her friend and photographer David Finato made them...Like Pia herself David is a also from Australia and lives in Amsterdam. They met a few years ago on a shoot in Sydney and now just happen to be both living and working in my old hometown. And for all you photographers and artists out there...Pia is organizing a great collective book project, called  'my heart wanders', where anyone can enter a photograph..more information right here.

Loraine showed these 'placemats' or 'shadow diner set' as Loraine calls them...i don't know exactly what they are, but I do know that Judith Höfel designed them and I find them very inspirational and so is the rest of Judith's work...

Lines&Shapes

Linesshapes_2
I think most of you are aware of the many talents Lena Corwin and Maria Vettese have...but they always know to come up with an even better idea, project or design than the last time...for one year they have been working together on LINES & SHAPES...which started as an idea to get artists together in a collaborative effort toward something and this something resulted in a series of small books...starting with six volumes this first year...each volume will have a different visual theme and a different group of artists will be featured...artists featured in the first volume are: jennifer causey, lena corwin, karen gelardi, caitlin mociun, christopher ryan and maria vettese...you can subscribe right here...or buy the first issue click here...Congratulations to Lena and Mav!

Cocca

Cocca
Imelda just showed us an amazing discovery from Japan and of course I just had to share this treasure trove with you...Cocca is a japanese shop selling printed textiles and crafts materials in their brick and mortar store and online! I just browsed their website to get some great inspiration for refurbishing chairs, finding great pillows and amazing new prints...Thank you Imelda!!

Disposable Vase

Jenniferchan
Jennifer Chan came with the brilliant idea to let foam Oasis function as the vase itself! By packing the foam Oasis  in a patterned shrink- wrapping film the vase can hold flowers at any angle while its packaging also acts as its container to keep them watertight. Brilliant and it looks beautitul! Jennifer is a Chinese-Irish designer who studied at Royal College of Art in London. On her website you can also find a bookcase by her which I truly love.

Paul Lowe

Sweetpaul

Love this styling work by Paul Lowe. Paul is food and interior stylist who moved from Oslo to New York to love and live. This production was for the Scandinavian lifestyle magazine Interiormagasinet. The story was about tea and Paul wanted to mix the whole tea concept into a mixture of craft and food. Paul doesn't even know how to knit, so he bought a wool sweather from H&M and a hot glue gun...result is perfect. Images are from photographer Steve Giralt. Paul also published a cookbook for dogs...have a look here.
