Sending flowers

I need to order flowers for a close family member in the Netherlands today ... you would expect the Netherlands to have some crazy cool online shops where you can order beautiful arranged bouquets but I couldn't find them. Only some old-fashioned sites ... anyone any recommendations, please let me know!

I was hoping to find a bouquet like the one in the picture above but Boston were the flower shop Wild Folk Studio is based is a bit too far for me to order from :) ... 

Flowers and plants are currently on my mind becasue we had to leave all of our plants behind in KL. And I'm trying to find good places here in Singapore to find new greens for our balcony ... normally I am not so much a person for inside plants but looking at these pictures from a Japanese site I might change my mind ...

The mixtures consist of seeds from desert and arid Mediterranean climates and include both annual and perennial species. Four boxes to choose from ... with Awakening being my favorite. 

 

Guest Post: Fiddle Leaf Fig

Hello Bloesem readers, I'm Victoria from sfgirlbybay. I wish I were here under happier circumstances and my thoughts go out to Irene and her family in this most difficult of times. But I'm honored to be here filling in for Irene today, and I thought I'd offer up a guest post about life and beautiful living things, particularly the Fiddle Leaf Fig. I'm somewhat obsessed with these trending trees right now, and I really am not sure exactly why. They've just captured by heart, and I love the way they grow strong and yet quite flexible -- the Fiddle Leaf Fig grows into its environment, shaping its branches around the curve of a room. I like that idea. Here's a few of my favorite views, from small and eager to grow, to voluminous trees living happily indoors.

 

green makes me relaxed

These pictures from Lorainne at Grijs make me so calm ... just what I need this morning. After being sick for a couple of days and sitting behind my computer I am completely overwhelmed by the work I need to finnish before the end of this week ... 

But the beauty of these plants, pots and images make me relax and think, don't worry it will all be ok in the end. 

Loving green with String Gardens ang hanging flowerpots

Lately I'm getting more and more obsessed by hanging flower pots due to 2  reasons; one is all the beautiful images and ideas that are popping up online of how to hang plants in a gorgeous way and the other reason is because I have a baby boy, who started walking and touching everything that he can get his hands on...ideal solution to have plants without being afraid of finding sand and mud on the floor.

...so as soon as Karin has these handmade flowerpots for sale at Manos I will buy one...…coming soon, I hope!

String Gardens....and the images over at this website from these super beautiful hanging plants are keep coming back in my mind...oh how I wish how to make them, because shipping them to Malaysia will not be so easy I think? But if you would like to buy some or get information on how to order the new stock, just send an email to this address. It arrived!!

In the meantime I should consider making one like these myself and follow the instructions here...

 

Although these are not hanging flowerpots, i totally loved how the flowers have been decorated here by Front...you know the design label that also designed this lamp and this one ...

going green

A long time dream of mine...a nice looking herbs and small vegetables table for our home. When I saw this one from Gaëtan Coulaud and Ludovic Avenel I was utterly impressed with how they had translated my idea of a perfect herbs table into a actual real table :)
