loving these lamps from Japan

Flame-lamps_mina

I am a big sucker for everything minä perhonen from Japan ... when I saw his gorgeous fabrics being used for these lampshades and then styled together with ceramic stands my heart just melted ...

A Japanese online shop called Flame is selling them and although I couldn't read a word the images made me want to push the 'buy' button :)

I know it is a bit of a darkish ambiance but I kind of like it ... do you too or do you rather go for bold and bright or black and white? ps. there is another collage below the break...

Twilight, shade, dawn ... new collection by Tas-ka

Taska-2

Absolutely worth waiting for ... the new collection by Dutch design studio Tas-ka.

Twilight, shade, dawn! ... are the six new prints screenprinted on high-quality cotton, all fabricated in The Netherlands.

The ladies from tas-ka are bgining the sensation of 'Schemer, lommer, dageraad' (dutch for Twilight, shade, dawn!) which is the elusiveness of what happens in the early morning and evening, with the clear colours of the rising- and setting sun and the darkness of the night.

And the new collection is now available in their webshop.

Many more images below.

fog linen trays and calendars 2013

Bybjor{necklace above was a present from Bjørke, a ducth friend of Jurianne, who has her own collection by the name of By Bjor}

At the NYIGF I had the pleasure of meeting the two ladies from fog linen work. I am a big fan of this Japanese label. Their collection linens and small home accesoiries are just perfect!

What I didn't know was that often at tradeshows companies sell their items so they don't have to ship them back again home ... the sale started at 12 and I believe at 13 everything in the fog linen booth was sold out,  very lucky I was indeed to get my hands on a couple of trays, some linen tape and the new linen wall calendar by Lota for fog linen work...      [MORE IMAGES]

Imogen Heath's beautiful bedding

ImogenHeath-bedding
I can't take my eyes of these bedsheets ever since I copied this image to my desktop ... I LOve everything about it!
Imogen Heath has been a textile designer since 2004 and started up her own design studio in June 2011. In her own words : ‘My design process is all about retaining the same feeling of excitement and Joy that comes to me when I have an idea for a pattern, or when I draw something for the first time. I hope that by successfully taking these feelings through to the finished piece I can somehow bring that same delight into people’s surroundings’.

Hope you are enjoying and liking her work as much as I do.

New collection 2013 minä perhonen

New collection 2013 minä perhonen

I can never get enough writing about Japanese label minä perhonen ... and have done it quite a bit over the past couple of years, but seeing the new winter collection 2013 this morning was again drooling over all the things I saw ...

Where shall I begin .. one of the choucho's, the notebooks or the coasters, the moon letters or a kimono dress... what would you choose?

I will just let you enjoy the images and many more you can find at the minä perhonen website.
