Indigo

{1. Grapes 2. Nostalgi  3. Celine by Victoria Will 4. Elephant ceramics 5. via 6. Leaf Fish }

We all know the color blue, but welcome blue's sexier cousin, Indigo.

Indigo has this mysterious and intense quality. I love how it looks when used in interiors, the space immediately looks posh, for a lack of a better word. The color even looks great when used to create patterns like the leaf DIY.  I'm so inspired by the use of Indigo on the Celine runway, wonder if i've anything remotely similar in my wardrobe.

Let's go forth and indiGO!

A Halloween palette

Bloesem Living | Halloween colors

{Roderick Vos for Linteloo}

Halloween is just around the corner and we know what's on everyone's minds! "What should i be this halloween?!" (and for some "How much candy can this bag really hold?"). But before we all get too hopped up on all the halloween candy, let's take a look at some interiors inspired by this day.

With both Halloween and autumn upon us, here are some ideas of how the beautiful, naturally occurring colors of the season can be seamlessly integrated into our homes. The orange and green hues remind us of pumpkins, falling leaves and everything we love about this part of the year.

It's going to be over before we know it, so let's all try out some of these ideas in our homes!

IJM Colour

Ijm

Instead of preparing some posts for you I went to De Kleine Fabriek yesterday ... a big trade fair for everything kids ... and it was such a pleasure meeting Frank Visser from IJM studio... not only was his booth or should I say pop / prop up shop a magical little place showcasing his beautiful colors and paints it was also very nice to be able to chat with him for a little while.

I believe it was a very smart move from the Kleine Fabriek to invite him ... he makes the creative difference at a fair like this.

Did you know that IJM has it's own Paint Collection available for you to order via this website. The site gives you a perfect guidance what color to choose by looking at the inspiration boards. My favorite is JUHU, what about you?

Monday's quick start: translucency at RAW color

Rawcolor

Raw Color  did it again ... Simply perfection and it combines all the things I love .. wool , colors and translucency.

Interior designers Van Eijk & Van der Lubbe were commissioned by a Dutch bank to renew  their office in Eindhoven. With the help from Daphna Laurens, Snodevormgevers and Ecological Textiles a stunning project has happened.

Monday's quick start: Color Collision

Color Collision from Rogier Arents on Vimeo.

I just love starting a week on Bloesem with some spectecular ceramics ...

Who would have thought that the pigment of a red cabbage could have such a strong color impact!

Read more here about what dutch designers Kristie van Noort and Rogier Arents discovered when mixing ceramics and red cabage 'soup' perhaps easiest to watch the short movie first ... you will love it!

Completely different but just as stunning is the Cornewll collection from Kristie van Noort. The shape and pastel color make this the perfect tableware for me.
