Float-thing

Bloesem living | B.Instagood

We’ve recently chanced upon Teresa Freitas' Instagram account and found ourselves scrolling endlessly! Her photos are minimal, and make use of negative space and colours to bring out the beauty in even the most ordinary of things. Evoking a sense of surrealism in her photos, she’s incredible at capturing motion (floating things a plenty) to bring life to her photos, connecting all her followers to that moment in time.

Looking closer

Silkebonde-insta

Recently artist and graphic designer Silke Bonde released her latest watercolour collection "Looking Closer", an extension of her "Blue Water" collection. As already huge fans of watercolour, we immediately took to her collection and you can't deny it's beauty when you see so many instagrammers across the world style pieces of the collection in their gorgeous homes. Silke herself has a top notch home and we love seeing how she styles her own work within the space. The lines and texture in this series has this calming effect and it's simply perfection!

Her feed is a great mix of her art, interiors and plants - the winning combination..

Oh and of course one of our favourites, Studio Oink did an amazing job of photographing and styling the collection!

In celebration of Singapore's 50th birthday, we have a very special edition of our weekly #B.Instagood column. Here's 5 Singaporean Instagrammers we think are doing Instagram right! If we were to say the words that came to our minds when we think about Singaporean instagrammers they would have to be food and fashion but these 5 definitely cover a bit of every category there is in terms of Instagram photography.

Do you know any great Singaporean instagram accounts we should follow?

It's okay to be negative

Bloesem living | Instagram feature: @saicote

Well, not be negative per se.. but it's okay to use negative space in photography. Actually it's more than okay, it's great! Based in Thailand, Sai uses alot of negative space in her instagram photography.. which is one of our top tips in the Bloesem instagram classes. Using negative space allows the viewers' eyes to be immediately drawn to the focus of the image. So the next time you snap an image try to rid of the photo of any unwanted or extra objects.

Pancakes in bed

Bloesem living | Instagram of the week: @asrosenvinge

Of all of Anne-sophie's beautiful instagram images, my favourites are the one that feature her pink bedding and in this particular shot, the pink bedding and 2 stacks of glorious banana pancakes. It doesn't get any better than pancakes in bed. A landscape architect by profession, Anne-sophie's snaps feature everything from food to home interiors and her design work. We're crushing on the soft palette of her feed!
