Emma Grace Hawtrey

Insta_anna

Like I've mentioned before, my favorite part about instagram is when i find a designer that i really like, following them on instagram is like getting the behind the scenes goodies on what they are up to. In Emma's case her instagram is full of her styling and design works, which always get me excited to get to work myself. Nothing better then some creative motivation while i browse through my instagram feed at mid-day.

Behind the scenes

Bloesem Living | Behind the Scenes in the Bloesem Creative Space

After posting Masha's gorgeous photography yesterday, we were kind of hesitant about what we should post today, but I guess the show must go on! And we can definitely learn a thing or 2 from her.

A little look at what we've been up to in the Bloesem Creative Space recently. Hard at work with the goodies that came in over the past month that will be in the online shop. It's so nice working in a space '"cluttered" with beautiful things, not the usual scrap paper and school books I used to have on my desk when i was studying. Definitely much better.

We popped by the market early yesterday and picked up this bunch of spring onion flowers (is that what they are called? I have personally never seen them. Irene spotted it with her keen eye for details and exotic groceries. ) They ended up coming in very handy!

Psst! We also shockingly spotted an Eames stackable chair, which we promptly shared on instagram.

Masha Bakker

Bloesem Living | Marsha Bakker Photography

Today we are shining the spotlight on Dutch photographer, Masha Bakker Matijevic. Her website is best described as a feast for the eyes. With her works (we love the wide range of different kinds of photography she does, you will not be bored) on full display there, we spent a good amount of time looking through them all.

One photographer, 3 Dutch designers and some food ... what else can you ask for today?

We are so happy that we have been introduced to 3 new Dutch designers, Studio Els van't Klooster and New Found Treasures ( Klass Kuiken and Dieter Volkers), through Masha's photography and her website. This is just the first step, they have now caught our eye and so the search is on to find out more about them. Hopefully we will be featuring their works more in the near future!

The blanket from Studio Els van't Klooster looks absolutely plush, I mean even the dog is snuggling up in it! I don't own a dog so I don't know if they usually use blankets, but that dog looks awfully comfy. The graphic print on the blanket in those soft tones... two thumbs up.

Designers Klaas Kuiken and Dieter Volkers' collection of hanging home accessories, including this mirror are true conversation starters. A twist on the ol' mirror, an essential piece in every home.

Poke Stool

Bloesem Living | Poke Stool

The Poke Stool by talented designer Kyuhyung Cho caught our attention during the recent holiday season and we could not wait to share it with you. Sometimes the simplest designs are the best ones. Such a brilliant design, made stackable with simple holes. The best part is that they come in all sorts of beautiful colors that look even better when stacked in sets (like in the pictures below).

If like us you are excited to get your hands on these delectable stools, you will be happy to hear that they are in production by Innermost and will be on the market in the spring this year! What colors would you get? I can't decide yet, it's too difficult!

Tuokio for a Happy Home

Bloesem Living | Prints by Design Tuokio

Lately i've discovered a bunch of Finish design labels which are just too cute! Check out these pretty prints in popping colors by Tuokio. Designer Sanni Takkinen recently founded Tuokio in the summer of 2013. Lovely calendars, fabrics - their cushions are a definite wanna have - prints and pretty postcards. Bubbly and fresh accessories totally designed for a happy home! xo Christine - House of C

Some things I liked this week

Bloesem Living | Link Love Jan 2014

Bloesem Living | Link Love Jan 2014

Setting up shop in the Bloesem Creative Space. It's like playing house, but for adults, and also twice as fun!

During our first lunch at the Bloesem Creative Space, we were talking about how chopsticks are key to eating slower and ultimately lesser, which essentially is good for us. And here we see chopsticks getting a makeover

This abonden apartment ...

These storage containers...

The beautiful 'cement' bags by Keecie

A mini recap with some 2013 favorites...

It has been our first official week working from the Bloesem Creative Space and it's been such a big change. A good kind of change though! Hopefully it's just the thing we needed to start 2014 with a bang! Hoping everyone feels inspired and ready to take on TWO-OH-ONE-FOUR!
