My Dad

Dear readers .... I received some very bad news a few days ago. My dad died in a car accident on his way to his house in Spain. I am devastated by the news and will leave for the Netherlands with my two boys and my husband this evening. In my absence a group of truly wonderful blog friends have volunteered to write guest posts on Bloesem Living and BKids. I am very touched by their support for me and my blogs. Sufiya, who most of you know by now, will be responding to emails until my return. While I am unable to focus on my blogs right now, my dad would have been proud that I am not completely abandoning my readers and sponsors. He was my example when it comes to work, my friend and mentor ... and very proud of the Bloesem blogs. So in honor of him, although you won’t be hearing from me in the next two weeks, Bloesem blogs would like to continue spreading beauty to the world .... I leave you in the very capable hands of my blog friends and Sufiya who I am sure will treat you to some amazing new finds! A happy picture of our last family vacation in Spain last July.

Mijn diepste medeleven. Ik ben zelf een papa's kindje en kan me niet voorstellen hoe moeilijk het moet zijn om iemand zo dierbaar, zo onverwacht, te verliezen. Sterkte toegegewenst aan zowel jou als je familie.

so sad to hear of your loss. any death is sorrowful to deal with but a sudden one ...well it hits in a strange way. i have exprienced the long goodbye of cancer and the gone without warning.

My sincere condolances. I also lost my father suddenly 10 years ago and so he never got to play with my children; they never knew him. What a beautifull memory you have.
