Small Budget Library
It is not easy for me to post about the humble beginnings of my husband's and my first home on the gorgeousness that is Bloesem Living, but Irene has mentioned to me before, that she would like me to post about what I am restoring, and refreshing over at my first place.
I write about my first place and more here (we're currently working on a blog redesign) and the latest project my husband and I took on was creating a library in our entryway. We had a very small budget to work with, and knew that even though we couldn't afford to do everything we'd love to - we'd make the best of what we could do. You can read about our process, and see the before pictures here, and the after here. - Tiffany King

This is looking great, especially al the other 'things' than the books. You have a great feeling for decorating! xx

@Samantha - Wow, you totally made my week, thanks so much for your super sweet compliments.
@Carrie - Thank you too - it was so kind of you to agree :)
@Miriam - Ugh! I asked 3 people about the "husband and my" because I was sure the "husband and I" I wrote was wrong, but they all told me I was right. Next time I will consult with you first :) Thanks for your compliments & correction. The antique desk was found on one of my many vintage excursions, so I can't remember where - sorry.

You have a beautiful, spirited, warm looking home. It's wonderful to see it evolve. But, and I hate to do this, I think you mean to say "my husband's and MY first home."( Sorry, the English Professor and comp instructor hiding inside my body reared its ugly head: down, girl, down!). I am in love with that little antique school-desk and would love to know where you found it.

I LOVE IT all!!! You have such authentic taste - I really love it. I hope you don't mind that I'll be stealing some of these ideas for my own home :) Thanks so much for the inspiration, can't wait to see what you do with the rest of your house and speaking of which, really enjoyed reading your personal blog as well.

I think it's very inspiring too see nice homes where people who are not interior designers/stylists lives. Shure, it's fun to look at marvelous, dreamy interiors but things that are doable are the main focus for me. I live in a rental apartment myself, and have a very small budget.
So thank you, I'm looking around on your blog right now, and have found some inspiration :-) Looks like a nice house with lots of light. Good luck with it, and have fun!

Hi Tiffany, I think your corners looks nice. I especially like the way you hung the botanical chart using a paper clips, I think its a simple yet brilliant idea. And I also like the way you mixing the books and vintage pieces on your book shelves. Lovely :)
