some 'house essentials' from Tiffany...

B01

Irene asked me to do a post about some of the things I liked this week, and I have to admit I felt really nervous about it. I don't want to disappoint. As you know I just bought my first house, so I have so many things I like running through my head, that it keeps me up at night. Let's see how I do…

Something for the outdoors...a practical guide to the essentials of beekeeping.

Bell

Something romantic for my bedroom...a ceramic victorian bell.

Cords

Something necessary turned lovely...a beautiful cloth extension cord.

Thanks Irene, this was fun!

@cinderall Patch - so lovely of you to say, thank you very much. :)

@claudine - exactly. I found a place where you can buy the materials and make them yourself because like you said, the idea is not a new one, but it's no surprise really that so often the older ideas and the quality/time put into them make us yearn for them/bring them back, even if it isn't from our generation. :) Like you, I hope it continues to happen forever.

Funny how we are all drawn to that extension cord... an old idea brought back and made new again... would love to see more mundane items look so pretty!!

I'd say you had nothing to worry about !! Perfect guest post. Now I'm taking a look at your new house.'

@homestilo - exactly and happy to hear you like them. :)

@Tiffany - I love vintage keys and collected a lot of them to hang on my christmas tree, unfortunately - a few went missing because I couldn't find them all on the tree... :)

I really appreciate all of your thoughtful comments!!

I'm loving the cloth extension cord too- reminds of the old irons my grandmother always had at home.

Thanks Fenny (love your name) and yes, doing this with an extension cord is one of my favorites for something so necessary, especially when you own an older home. :)

Tiffany, I love the cloth extension cord, It has vintage looks and also stylish (much better than plain one right?).
