Living in Kuala Lumpur

b>tags | ..Malaysia

YTL
No this is not the house where I live :) but ever since my husband and I landed here in Kuala Lumpur this incredible house intrigues us enormously! We often drive by 'the spaceship', as my husband and I like to call it, because our friends live nearby...of course from the road you can only see so much...so yesterday I thought I'm going to search on the internet for this property and it quickly popped up on my screen ... the CoolHunter recently wrote a post about the stunning residence and the architects who designed it...Paris-based Agence Jouin Manku.

...wouldn't it be nice if one day the family invites me over for a coffee so I can see this incredible place from within it's walls. I never expected it to be this big, because it's so modest and well done from the outside.

i used to live in kuala lumpur as my father was an architect there. and gosh i miss it sometimes. such a wonderful city. and so close to my other favourite place--singapore!

stunning!

This is the home of one of the richest man in Malaysia... YTL. He even has a hard backed book on it given out to his guest during his housewarming.

I love it! That gigantic piece of marble is out of control. The whole thing definitely has a really fun vibe.

Oh wow, what a house!

WOW sums it up for me!! Impressive - I'd have no problem moving right in...

Wow how beautiful. I'm going to Kuala Lumpur...perhaps i could knock on the door and ask to use their phone or something

Those stairs and that dining table is the most intriguing.

how simply amazing is this house?! it's beautiful! i would love to drive by it...

Wow! Impressive, and just beautiful. That kitchen counter must weigh tons ;)!
We live in an old appartment from late 19th century, and I love it to pieces, but whenever we would start all over again, just with a plot of land, and a winning lottery ticket, I'd call these architects!

holy teak staircase! I have all kinds of ideas about how you could gain entry but most of them are illegal.
