When I first saw these gorgeous cabinets over at the lovely blog Visual-Notes they reminded me of the chest of drawers called Decades by WIS design ... I have no idea who came first with this very clever concept ... and frankly I don't really care, I just know Ilike both concepts very much and I think the chests from German based design studio, Schubladen are fantatstic! SchubLaden, means ´drawers´ in German is a unique shop in the Berlin-Kreuzberg´s Graefedistrict and it is devoted to the reuse of old unmated drawers ... hooray for re-cycling!

I love them...works of art that can be used!

Love it! Would be wonderful for all my creative supplies :)
I like these actually better than others I have seen because the old drawers sits in a new cabinet - it gives a much stronger effect thant to put the different drawers into an old matching cabinet. Thanks for sharing!

They're brilliant. I love the idea of using the old to make something new. They're like a collage of different styles that look cute and quirky together. Yet totally functional. Wish I'd thought of doing something like this before…

Those are really nice!
I would love to have a cabinet like this in my home. For some reason I could see it in my bathroom accompanied by a vintage medicine or pharmacy cabinet.
Here in Portland we have a recycled building supplies scrap yard. I always see drawers there very similar to this condition. It seems like a good project for someone with the inclination and a bit of skill to build from recycled & reclaimed materials.

I really really like these. I have been wracking my brain left and right to come up with the best storage system for my studio. I have been using a small/sleek dresser to store all the little parts I use, but I suddenly NEED MORE SPACE! The thought of getting a plastic hardware-type drawer system hurts my soul a little. These would be PERFECT...
