I know many of you dear Bloesem readers love vintage typewriters and telephones ... I'm sure you will love to see these over at Three Potato Four ... Janet and Stu brought the typewriters and telephones to a professional technician ... so they are both restored to its original working condition, cleaned, oiled and mechanically adjusted or repaired so that it is fully-functioning again ... {ps. Happy Birthday Janet!}

love the phone.. if you like vintage take a look at www.accessoriesofold.com - will blow your socks off!

they have done such a wonderful job with their shop and collection, I lose hours looking at all the goods.

Lovely objects!

thanks for this post + the birthday wishes, irene!

I {heart} Three Potato Four!! Janet and Stu are simply wonderful, and their shop is a permanent favorite of mine. Where else can you find such lovely and unique vintage goods for your home at such reasonable prices?

Fun typewriter - love the color :)

i love Three Potato Four, everytime i get an e-mail update from their shop i drool all over. i love vintage typwriters too...in fact i found one just yesterday (Smith Corona Classic 12) at a thrift store.

:)

...beautiful objects...and restored to perfection!

I adore typewriters. I own three, from the 20s, 30s and 60s, respectively. I regularly wear a typewriter necklace from Paraphernalia's etsy shop. And I just posted a photo of one of my typewriters. Haha, wow - I really am a massive nerd about these hunks of metal! But it's so nice to see how letters and words get onto a page every now and then. There's more of a connection and appreciation than what you get with a keyboard, you know?

I once walk by a thrift shop, they have the exact same typewriter, but we ran out cash that day and they wouldn't take credit card so we didn't get it.
I regret walking out on the typewriter, because the next time we walked by, it's not there anymore. There are only a few thrift shops in Hong Kong, a missed opportunity means waiting for years for one to come up again.
