Up in the Air Somewhere

Susandwyer

A little while ago I saw these beautiful ceramic vases, cups and bowls on Chelsea's great blog, Frolic, and of course I had to know a little bit more about the person who makes these. It is Chicago-based artist and designer Susan Dwyer. Her studio in Chicago is called 'Up in the Air Somewhere' and she says the skyline of this city inspires her to make these elegant vases, votives and planters. I love the colors, the clean lines and soft tones of the glaze....more information right here ...

Little Put Books

Littleputbooks1
We are back from again a wonderful weekend at Langkawi island here in Malaysia ... it was the first time for my father and his wife to have the pleasure to visit this island and they also fell in love with it ... but today it's back to Bloesem and B:Kids ... I received so many emails and submissions during the weekend and there were so many beautiful things, but these wooden blocks or little blocks for on your wall really caught my attention, I love the simpleness and the images ... Ryan makes them and sells them in her Etsy shop, called Little Put Books...

E15

E15_cough
When I saw the work from e15 on les carnets du design I just had to know a bit more about this furniture design company from Germany ... e15 was founded in 1995 in London by architect Philipp Mainzer and product designer Florian Asche. Today the company has its head quarters in Germany, Oberursel near Frankfurt am main... and I love what they do ... E15_coatrack

Some of my favorite designs from all their products are this gorgeous wooden Coat Rack, called Martha and this table tray called Habibi both designed by Philipp Mainzer, who currently is managing partner and creative director of e15.

A couch like this is exactly what I like ... I'm not sure whether it is really comfortable but it looks so beautiful. And of course if would be able to afford it I would buy the the leather cough in the upper image immediately ... here you can find the entire e15 collection.
