... well I'm not a guest of course, but I thought after inviting so many other people to show us their favorite design pieces in their houses I thought it was only fair if I show you some of mine too ...
Well there are two corners in our apartment that I really love ... the first one is a the place were this vintage Danish chair and Noguchi lamp stands my husband and I bought the chair in a great shop in Toronto called Bungalow ... we didn't buy the chair because of the gorgeous cushions, in fact the cushions were horrible, but we bought it because of the fantastic wooden frame
of course we brought the chair with us to Kuala Lumpur and finally had it re-upholstered here in KL, I chose this light grey wool from Kvadrat and am very happy with the result ... the little logo makes us assume that the chair is an original from France&Sons from Denmark, but if anybody recognizes the logo and thinks differently please let us know ... and the pillow was made by me using my Gocco print on the linen ...
The other corner I always enjoy looking at is in our very small entrance ... luckily for us we don't need a coat-hanger, the weather is always beautiful here so no hats, coats, scarfs or other items and the shoes are always waiting outside ... the cabinet was also bought at Bungalow in Toronto, the lamp was a birthday present for my husband last May, the fantastic table lamp 'Coupe' from Joe Colombo for O Luce ... the print on the wall is from AshleyG and the fantastic handmade mobile is from X&L, look under archive to find it, ... i hope you like my little corners too...

Hi Irene, I really love your blog and ideas. If you don't mind, would you mind sharing at which store you got your chair upholstered? Thank you very much!

I love that chair, I'm looking for something similar. I love the grey fabric, I am looking for a sofa in exactly that fabric. It's so beautiful.

When you buy furniture and larger things in other countries, how do you transport them to your home?

Uh, how I love this chair, table, lamp combo. Funny, that you don't even mention the Saarinen table. I sure want one for the museum I call home.

Love the chair! I've actually been to Bungalow (on a weekend trip to Toronto) and was amazed at their furniture selection. It was a mid-century dream. I'm still kicking myself for not getting a beautiful credenza when I was there.
