Adelle & Justin's favorite design pieces in their house
Adelle: I’m a big fan of Scandinavian ceramics, particularly those from the 1950s & 60s. It was really hard choosing just one example, but I’ve plumped for this wall plaque designed by Lisa Larson for Swedish factory, Gustavsberg. I love everything about it – the viking ship image, the colours, the texture... It’s the only Lisa Larson plaque I’ve got, but I’m hoping to add to my collection of one very soon!
Justin: I’ve chosen this spotty mug which was made by my older brother who’s a potter. One of life’s great little pleasures is walking the dog on a crisp winter’s day – then returning home to a real log fire and a cup of hot, strong tea - in my favourite mug. He made me a set of four for Christmas one year. Each one is subtly different, with slight variations where they’ve been hand thrown, shaped and decorated.
