Singapore1   A little bit later than expected, but here are just a few images from a terrific shop I visted in Singapore last weekend ... my dear friend Jenny and I started at , which was recommened to me by Charlene in her report about Singapore .. and yes CasualPoet definetly is a little treasure in Singapore, I saw some prints from Ashley G hanging there, books from Lines&Shapes and other amazing little artpieces ... Jenny wanted to show me another great shop on Ann Siang Road called BooksActually ... Singapore2
... and I'm glad she did ... this truly is a very nice shop and full with, of course books, but also little art gadgets, special stationery, great magazines and I fell in love with some of the vintage toys, which unfortunately are not for sale ...
Singapore3

... but the beautiful Caderno notebooks from Serrote of course are and these wall pieces by Astrid Gabriella Kræpelien caught my attention .. appearantly Astrid from Sweden has held an exhibition in Singapore recently and these were part of the exhibtion ... I could only find her flickr site on the web ...

Hi,
I have not finished the tour desbribed by Charlene for Singapore. But last week I have been to casual poet. And this cafe is awesome. I have summarized this tour in a message on my blog. I love this "hidden" Singapore.

i have lived in Singapore for almost all my life but i have yet to visit ann siang road properly. I really need to do so soon and i'm glad you enjoyed yourself!

the spanish word is "CUADERNO" not "CADERNO".

This is the first time I write in here, but I come here often! Very cute and wonderful page.

I am Japanese living in Hong Kong. I have never been in Shingapore yet but I would like to be there.

A quick note just to complete my comment above: the Serrote notepads are a new project (started in 2004, I think) made with vintage models. They were not available when I was growing up, but the ones available were very similar, just not Serrote. Anyway, it´s a really nice project which deserves all the exposure and success!

Thanks for the shopping insights!

I´m amazed how the Serrote notepads became such a fashionable item, as they were "mere" notepads when I was growing up. I´m glad they did! Who would tell they would be on sale in Singapore?!

what a nice shop, is really beautiful!
