Ali (from Duduá) just told me about the 'Next Big Thing' contest at FredFlare and how her great 'Mr. Moustache tote bag' has been selected (from more than 1000 entries) and nominated to become the favourite designer of the year 2008, choosen by the public via an online poll. Ali & Elisa aka 'Sirena con jersey' are best friends and together they designed some very nice products for their label Sirena con jersey, but Ali also runs the shop and gallery Duduá in Barcelona and Elisa ia an illustrator living in Brooklyn. My hubbie met the girls while he was in Barcelona last week and he said they're so sweet. I love their tote bags and tear drop necklaces!

Oh that's cute, who doesn't love a nice little tote! BUT! I checked out the site and...there are also some REALLY amazing submissions by super talented up-and-coming artisans on there! There is a beautiful hand blown glass cupcake stand, which definitely earned my vote! Give it another look and you'll find some really impressive work.

I have been totally coveting that bag but was so sad to find that with shipping it's $30....a bit much for a simple tote :(
