Minä Perhonen is a Japanese fashion house founded by Akira Minagawa...who is often characterised by his feminine, romantic style...and for his detailed tailoring, embroidery, patterns and quilting...Akira wants to create garments that goes beyond the limits of fashion and can last, rather than following the existing trends...please look at his stunning textiles right here...

A collaboration between Danish furniture manufactuer Fritz Hansen and minä perhonen resulted in these stunning chairs...The Egg, The Swan and Seven Chair designed by Arne Jacobsen were all dressed in minä perhonen fabrics...

...above you see an image of the minä perhonen store in Shirokanedai (a district of Minato Ward, in Tokyo)...i could sit forever on that cough and just dream away...last year minä perhonen launched a line for children, in the same style of patterns and details...by the way...'Minä' means 'I' and 'Perhonen' stands for butterfly...i have really have fallen in love ...

The clothes created by the designer was outstanding. Its very feminine. I think most women would love to purchase those clothes. :D

I love his work... I spend too much time looking at his website... and I will go to his store in Kyoto when i am there later this year... wonderful post, unfortunately I am a large English girl, with no possibility of fitting in to any of his beautiful designs... thank you!!
