Like I said on Tuesday ... during the weekend I received so many nice submissions (thanks everybody, I wish I could answer to all your emails, but I'm sorry it's just impossible for me..) and one of them were these great chairs by Annie Coggan...Annie has been working in her home of Starkville, Mississippi on these chairs for a her own café, which she will be opening in July, she told me that the chairs are are part of a method of making that she cares deeply about, using resources from "within arms length"... all these chairs were bought for less then 20.00 or were found ... the pieces to stablise the chairs she got from junk shops..very nice! It looks so simple but you need to have some creative talent to come upe with the idea to give the chairs these funky twists...here you can fins Annie's blog for more information...

This is one of the most wonderful ideas for recycling the old I have seen!! Brilliant...and they look so cool in the photos, like new cutting edge designs... which I guess they are! I love them. Thanks again Irene, you always have the best stuff to share

Beautiful chairs. I'm replanning my kitchen and would love something similar. Time and imagination contraints mean I'll probably just be adding a dash of gloss pastel paints to my motley array of junk shop and inherited wooden chairs. Better than IKEA.
