...more from Milan today, but not from the fair but from a great ceramic artist...this artwork is part of the Conversation series by Fabrizio Dusi from Italy. After his study at the Corsican ceramic Cova school in Milan he started working as an assistant at the office of Milan ceramists Fausto Salvi and Silvia Zotta and in October 2005 Fabrizio opened his own brick and mortar shop in Milan in Soffredini 77, where he sells vases, accessories, panels and large ceramic wall installations like this one.

Hope you had a great weekend...I heard spring has arrived in New York and when I was living in there I always wore heads, because I think they make such a great accessories. Unfortunately back then I wasn't familiar with Terry Graziano her beautiful heads otherwise I would definitely had bought hers, she makes them with so much care and attention and the details are just perfect...
Terrygraziano
..."a modern approach to a traditional art form” is how Terry describes her signature line of soft, drape-able fabric hats. The fun thing about her hats is that you can wear them differently all the time and have a different look. You can order her hats online or send her an email if you have  a special request.

A little while ago Holly had a question for me...not an easy one...I must say..."what to do when you don't know what to do"... Nathalie from DesignUndercover commented on Decor8 a couple of weeks ago asking Holly the same sort of question, so Holly invited a couple of designers, artists and me to help answer the question...here are my answers...

Ladak

Ladak...a new Dutch brand offering some great blankets which are made from recycled material...the base  is an old blanket (I don't know the English name for it, but normally they are being used for transporting fragile goods) ...some old sweaters, jeans, strong fabrics and ribbons are being used as details to give the blanket a new and surprisingly nice new look! Of course each blanket is unique and handmade and... has its own name; named for a homeless and or hero.
Ladak1
These blankets are perfect for an outdoor picnic or and early spring celebration on the terrace. The designers Jantien de Wilde and Jane Stroink are socially involved: 15% of the proceeds will go to a shelter for the homeless in Amsterdam. Their motto: when you are comfortable, they are comfortable! I love Ladak! Would you like to order one ..send the women from Ladak an email. (ps. google translate can help you with the Dutch language)

Since I was a child I have a thing for journals, notebooks and agenda's and seeing such amazingly  detailed journals like these it just makes me very happy. Esther Diering from Berlin makes them and you can buy them in her shop Wiener Papp. Here you can read a little more about Esther, really funny! Another specialty of Esther is designing cd-cases, you can find some great ones right here.
