Going home...yes after almost one year it's time to visit our family and friends in the Netherlands (joehoe I'm so excited, mama here I come!)...we'll be leaving at the end of this week and today I'm going to start packing, wrap-up some gifts and do some last minute groceries...and looking at this great image from Pia Jane I get goosebumps all over my body...this is it...this is Amsterdam and I lOVE it....I truly enjoy living here in wonderful Kuala Lumpur...but Amsterdam will always be my hometown and the only place on earth that makes me emotional when entering the heart of the city...

Enjoy it!

Thank you all for the nice comments...Yes, Sia I will be in Amsterdam and will most deifintely try to find you that day!...and Simone, i hear what you are saying, living abroad like myself does tend to give you a 'homeless' feeling, hope you feel at home where you are right now...ps. you're jewelry is really beautiful!
See you all in the Netherlands...irene xx

I have to say that I envy you for loving the place that you're from and knowing it's your home. I don't particularly miss my own country when I'm away and I certainly don't miss the city I grew up in (I live elsewhere now), even though of course I miss my family who still live near there. It tends to make me feel permanently homeless!
Anyway, have a lovely trip and enjoy being home again.
