Last year I wrote about the very talented design duo Tineke Beunders and Nathan Wierink. Since then Tineke graduated Cum Laude from the design academy in Eindhoven and Nathan is graduating at this time. One of Tineke's graduating projects was 'Marbelous'. According to Tineke the world of adult furniture and the world of children's toys don't seem to belong together, but she wanted to combine anyway, therefore she created this new type of functional woodcarving, that invites you to play with...a marble track in a table. I Love this table, have you seen the little box underneath the table were you can put the marbles? This is true  craftsmanship and the children can play while you have a 'romantic' dinner!

Picknick....this tablecloth is wishing you a good dinner. Take a closer look and you can see the words 'eet smakelijk', (which is Dutch for 'enjoy your dinner') being woven into the fabric instead of printed! Looking form a distance the tablecloth reminds you of a traditional picknickcloth. Tineke and Nathan, aka Ontwerpduo, will present their work from 16th to 21st of April 2008 in Milan, during the Salone del Mobile. Their website is full of beautiful images from all their products. I love a website like this, crisp, clean and very easy to read.
