Blogger House Party

Kidsroom_decor8house
Together with 7 other bloggers I was invited by Holly from Decor8 to create an imaginary house online. Home owner; a young single mom (cookbook author) with a son living in a 18th century Georgian townhouse in Savannah Georgia.  My job was to make the room for the boy based on yellows, white, pastels....think spring...ahum...yellow pastels for a boy is not what I  had in mind, so I created my own color palette (sorry Holly)...for starters I choose a black wooden floor, because every color looks nice on black. Then I thought let's give the boy a very 'strong and rough' looking bed and Piet Hein Eek's children's bed would be perfect! {links for the interior items:  cool bike by  LikeaBike, soft toys by Lotta Jansdotter and Muji, bedding by Plastisock, blue car-chair Spunkysprout , bookshelf via 2Modern kids, paintings by the very talented Takashi Iwasaki, bubble lamp by George Nelson, wallpaper from Domestic, cuckoo clock from Moderndose} Dear Holly, thank you for the invitation, can't wait to see for the other rooms to appear...

What a nice boys-room! Calming in spite of the many toys. Love the colour-palette you chose!
