Tinlark Gallery

{artwork by Brooks Shane Salzwedel}
I received a very nice email from Cris McCall, the director of Hollywood based gallery, Tinlark. Tinlark represents some amazing artists. But Cris particularly wanted to introduce to me the art by Brooks Shane Salzwedel. I wasn't  familiar with it, but I'm glad I'm now. Still I hope to see this beautiful work in real one day. Brooks creates graphite drawings on Duralar, then pours on a layer of resin, then repeats that process 2 more times and the result is a deeply layered, thoroughly mesmerizing treasure you see in the images above.
{hand-painted bottles by Laura Normandin}
Other work that I was familiar with is from Laura Normandin. Laura is Kansas where she grew up listening to old country music and creating. She moved to New York to go to Cooper Union and now lives in Park Slope Brooklyn. She crochets in winter and drinks beer in the summer. and her business is called WrenHandmade, named after an old doberman.
Finally two paintings also available via TinLark Gallery are these two from Ramis Kim and Drew Beckmeyer, Beautiful!! Thanks Cris!
