Xenia Taler

I would like to welcome my new sponsor Xentia Taler, I’ve written about her beautiful work before and Xenia knows that I’m a big fan of all her creations, I first saw them in one of my favorite Toronto stores while I was living there. Ever since, I have been following her work and I’m proud that I can show you some of her new designs… the ‘Night Garden’ collection...wow!…the color black in the ceramics is just too gorgeous.

And how about this Hedgehog or Owl in my favorite colors ochre and brown…who can resist a gift like this! I also would like to share a little bit of the email conversation Xenia and I had about her designs. She told me how she and her partner Steven Koblinsky sometimes joke around about how they would like their tiles to become something people hang on to for generations, and although they make fun of themselves for their grandiose ideas, I think it is great that they strive for their products to last forever and not be disposable… as Xenia describes it her products are “not another contribution to more consumerism and more waste”. I couldn’t agree more, these products are here to stay!
