Maija Puoskari

Monday, 8 October 2007 by Irene Hoofs

Another beautiful product that caught my eye while reading wallpaper, were these amazing trivets and coffee set by Finnish designer Maija Puoskari. Maija is part of Finn collective Juju Design Party, which was also formed in 2005. This coffe set and the trivets are absolutely my kind of taste.
In Maija Puoskari's own words the trivets are inspired by the melodic water- droplets as winter ice melts from the birch branches back into the quiet Nordic lakes. The small inner trivet can be used to support a tea or coffee pot; the outer piece for pans and serving dishes. As a designer Maija’s passion lies in trying and testing new solutions for simple everyday needs where function and beauty are of paramount importance. Beautiful! For information you can send Maija Puoskari an email.
