Sidsel from Spagats wrote about the Crafts Fair in Copenhagen where 140 members of the Danish Arts and Crafts Association will participate. Via their website I found some incredible designers and crafters. Like these beautiful ceramic bowls by Jane Holmberg Andersen.
Terrific crochet items by Stine Roensch and beautiful pillows by Mai Plank
On August first YES Press opened their store on Etsy, selling very special monthly and seasonal postcards. YES is a collaboration of three established artists: Eireann of bara, Brian of boiled art and Zachary of Gendun Editions. Each of these artists brings a particular talent, interest, and background, with a dedication to the history of prints, design, and typography. I love this first card and I’m sure the others will be very beautiful as well. If you subscribe to YES you will receive 16 cards each year: one per month, plus four seasonal cards only available to subscribers, which are printed and mailed in October, January, April, and July. Subscribers also receive a printed linen envelope to hold their cards. Here you’ll find YES.
Dear all, this is a call for help, or actually, a call for a beautiful design come to life! Sara Blohme writes HappySilly blog but is also an incredibly talented designer. I am in love with her wallpaper designs, especially these “memory lane” and “Turista” series. Aren’t they just marvelous? There is one problem though, we can’t order them yet as Sara is still looking for a manufactur, so please let Sara know if you know anyone (a friend of a friend of a….) who can help Sara produce! Many thanks for your suggestions…. Sara, keep us posted on developments and of any new designs of course…
Oh, almost forgot, only one post today, sorry… knitting fever again, some exciting projects… can you believe I am knitting under a KL sun… see you tomorrow!
The lovely Alison Brownrigg from Petaline just told me about a wonderful new artist over at her shop Petaline . Her name is Kristin Loffer Theiss and she uses a sewing machine to "draw" images in one continuous line. Amazing, amazing…I just set up my sewing machine yesterday here in our new house and just sewing a straight line is hard for me, let alone ‘draw’ an illustration.
Just thought you would like to see these vintage finds, which made me very happy today....brooches, pins and rings over at ‘the Junk in my Trunk’...
...or these lovely items over at at this fun online store called Les Filles.
