Lisa Edwards recently opened an online fabric store in Melbourne, called Duckcloth. Lisa is selling beautiful fabrics by well known women like Amy Butler, Lara Camaron, Kristen Doran and more…

I like the the children fabrics by Pamela Walker for Sprout design very much. The patterns are reproductions of original designs from the 1970's. The designs are hand screen printed in Australia on beautiful soft medium weight base cloth. You can also find some great patterns for bags and soft toys over at Duckcloth. Congratulations Lisa and Good luck!

Labour of Heart = New Blog

{Outdoor sits in a pebble shape by the Laboratorio dell'imperfetto via Labour of Heart}
Wow…so much inspiration and amazing finds over at Labour of Heart. Elena from Italy is the writer of this wonderful blog. Thank you Elena for writing me an email and I’m really flattered that you like Bloesem so much. Your taste is absolutely impeccable! Elena herself is an Italian architect , but always worked as a fashion/jewellery designer.

Here are some finds which I found at Labour of Heart: Paper jewellery, called “Compass roses” by Turkish designer Ela Cindoruk…

…and also from Turkey is Autoban 212. Their interior products are new to me, but I love love love them! No wonder Wallpaper magazine placed Autoban among the 5 best young designers of the world. Seyhan Özdemir and Sefer Caglar are the wonderful designers behind Autoban, which they founded in 2003. Thank again Elena for getting in touch with me!

Bonjour…when I opened my inbox this morning I found a wonderful email from a very talented French couple, Frédéric and Valérie. Together they form the duo So*Sage. Being product and graphic designers for a living they often escape from their computer to create these beautiful handcrafted pieces of art!

At their blog you can follow some work in progress and at the Etsy store you can buy the final products!
Thank you so much Loraine for recommending Bloesem to So*Sage!

After reading the interesting interview with Mav at Design*sponge I just had to visit her blog and found the beautiful work by Field… the wall paintings are truly inspiring, especially since I am constantly thinking of how to decorate our new house. I think we may have found a great place to live… but we have to go through the negotiation process first… so hopefully by the end of this week I will have some good news…

Field was founded by Friederike Hamann from Germany and Colin Sullivan-Stevens from Maine. Field focuses on custom designed wall paintings, object design and print work. They also create monthly installations at their gallery space in Portland, where visitors can see the work during First Friday openings.

Over at Port2Port you can find some great images from Field's gallery, which Mav took during a visit. If you can’t make it to their studio just go to Field’s website and you will get a very good impression.
