Yesterday I discovered the beautiful work of Sari Syväluoma. This great textile and surface designer graduated from The University of Industrial Arts of Helsinki in 1996, but is currently based in Norway, where she started her own business in 1999. You can recognize Sari's work by the bold fabrics. I think her patterns are truly beautiful.
Some people say Sari is more of a painter then a designer who treats fabric like an artist’s canvas, using a palette of rich colours, vibrant motifs and exquisite embroidery. Visit her website to see this true ‘textile art’ for the home.
