The trip to the Netherlands went smoothly…my 10-month old son slept all the way from Toronto to Amsterdam… I was concerned he would be too excited to get any sleep at all… it feels a bit strange to be back in the ‘low lands’ and getting ready for yet another move…but it is great to be ‘home’ and spend time with my family… and of course I am very happy to be back on-line! These wonderful St. Petersburg chairs were designed by Jurgen Bey in 2003 for Droog Design. Back then Jurgen was already experimenting with flower designs and prints, a design trend that really took off a few years later. It is impressive to see how far ahead he already was with his St. Peterburg chairs. You can buy them online at Vivid in Rotterdam. Vivid is one of my favourite online stores because of their enormous Dutch Design collection.

these chairs are really creative, i enjoy furniture that is a bit offbeat and not the norm. European furniture is alot like that. great stuff.
