Lennke from Rotterdam told me about Peter Callesen from Danmark. He can basically do anything with a piece of paper. I really admire this and wish I had such a steady hand... One of the themes in his work is a reinterpretation of classic fairytales. His work puts you between dream and reality. It is romantic and poetic. I especially like the white paper objects and paper cuts.
Peter Callesen's most recent work explores the relationship between two and three dimensionality. Peter's work is in London represented by the Emily Tsinou Gallery or you can send Peter an email and visit his webiste for information. {thanks Lenneke!}

I haven't got to look at the website yet but that is amazing. Does he use an exacto knife?

Peter Callesen blows my mind. I love it that he works with such ordinary paper most of the time too. How does he do it?

These really make me wish I had thought of that idea. They're cool and simple at the same time. That's real artistic genius at work. And, he obviously doesn't drink a lot of coffee!

I just looked at his site. I love the skeleton rising out of the man drawing. His work is amazing. I hope it's not too expensive.

Wow, his work is absolutely amazing. He is an immensely talented and patient artist. I wonder how many of those he does before he gets them perfect?
