Miru's Friends
b>tags | ..kids
Arounna from Bookhou introduced me to these lovely sweater dolls made by Thai McPhail. Tai has been working as an illustrator since 1990. When her daughter Miru was born she came up with the idea of creating these soft sculpture figures, hence the name ”Miru’s Friends”. Tai uses recycled wool sweaters.
All wool materials are carefully selected, laundered, and remade into whimsical characters created entirely without patterns. The finishing details such as buttons and hand embroidery make the dolls even more wonderful! You can find all images of Miru’s Friends in her online portfolio. Would you like to order one, just send Tai an email.

Ack! Those are so cute. Unfortunately, the link to her online portfolio wasn't working. I'll try again later. Those are darling!
